"DFLP": The Israeli aggression against Hama is a war crime, and the Baghdad bombings are a return to darkness

Our Stance

■ The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, in a statement today, Saturday 23/1/2021, described the brutal Israeli aggression against the Syrian city of Hama as a war crime committed by the occupying power and aggression, in full view and hearing the whole world, without shame or equivocation, supported by the policy of the United States, most recently its participation in the Central Command of the US forces.

In its statement, the Front noted that the Israeli aggression took place on honest civilians and defenseless members of the brotherly Syrian people on the first day of the new American president, Joe Biden, assuming his official duties, as if Israel is sending a message confirming that the deal of the century has not died and has not gone with the departure of Trump, and that its aggressive plans, based on this deal, are still what they are, without any retreat.

The Front called on the Arab countries, especially those that maintain normalizing relations with the occupation state, to declare a clear and explicit position on the aggression and the Israeli war crime, dictated by their patriotic, national and moral duties, and their affiliation with the Arab League.

In the same context, the DFLP condemned the heinous crime committed by the dark forces in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, targeting the crowded slums, which confirms the falsehood of the claims of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) for its defense of Muslims, as well as confirming in the same context its involvement in projects creating chaos, killing, and igniting random wars in our Arab countries at the expense of the interests of our peoples, and for the benefit of goals that are no longer hidden, but are completely exposed in their nature, opacity, backwardness and bloody. ■
