Clashes erupt as IOF break into Aqaba Jabr, Jericho
 

 

Violent clashes broke out at dawn Monday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) broke into Aqabat Jaber camp in Jericho.

During the clashes, three local young men were shot and injured, by IOF gunfire, while dozens suffered from teargas inhalation.

The IOF vehicles also tried to run over a group of young men during the confrontations.

During the raid, the IOF stormed the family house of prisoner Maher Shloun, who is suspected of carrying out the Jericho shooting operation, and took the house measurements as a prelude to its demolition.

Tension has been rising high in the West Bank, where settler attacks on Palestinian villages have been increasing and becoming more organized. 

The Israeli army and settlers have killed 67 Palestinians since the start of 2023, including 13 children. The Palestinian Ministry of Health said the death toll is the highest in the past 22 years.
